Ghani and I did the equivalent of a whole days trekking in 3 hours. We reached the monastery and then climbed even higher to see some of the most amazing views in Jordan. "F***ing awesome!" said the Australian (not Ghani) as he helped us with directions. When we got there we didn't take photos as we thought we couldn't really capture the vastness of the scene. Not very clever though. I wish I had at least one shot of that wadi.
We came out to find that we were too late to get transport back to Amman and so we did what any reasonable tourist would do and got the local police to call a taxi from Aqaba. 25JD or something. Loads of fun, and blisters too.
